Meet the Team at 4R Farm Insights
Mattie Schmitt - Owner & Agronomist
Raised on a cattle ranch near Towner, ND, Mattie Schmitt has always had a strong connection to agriculture. She holds an Associate of Science from Dakota College at Bottineau—where she also played volleyball and basketball—a Bachelor's in Agronomy with a minor in Agribusiness from the University of Minnesota–Crookston, and a Master’s in Plant Science from NDSU.
After five years as a Precision Technology Agronomist with Gooseneck Implement, Mattie founded 4R Farm Insights to be more than a consultant—she wanted to be a true teammate on her clients’ farms. Her focus is helping farmers turn data into decisions, using the technology already on their operations to improve ROI and efficiency.
Mattie continues to be hands-on in the field, delivering high-quality agronomy services with a strong focus on trust, clarity, and results. She believes in showing up, understanding the operation, and helping farmers make confident, profitable choices.
When she’s not in the field, she’s usually on the ranch, near the water, behind a camera, or cheering on her favorite sports teams.
Andrina Sechrist - Agronomist
Andrina Sechrist is the newest agronomist to join 4R Farm Insights, bringing a strong background in crop advising and research. She’s originally from Alexander, ND, and now lives there, where she farms and ranches with her family.
Andrina earned her bachelor’s degree in Crop and Weed Sciences from North Dakota State University (Roll Herd!) and became a Certified Crop Advisor in 2023. She works with the wide variety of crops grown in western North Dakota, which is one of her favorite parts of the job. Every field and season brings something different—and that keeps agronomy interesting and rewarding. But no matter the crop, she’ll tell you: nothing beats the view from the combine when golden wheat is waving in the wind.
Outside the field, Andrina enjoys four-wheeling with her husband and their three dogs, working in her garden, hunting in the fall, and curling up with a good book when the North Dakota winters set in.
She’s proud to serve farmers across western North Dakota and excited to be part of a team focused on high-quality, boots-on-the-ground agronomy.
